Short Film Script

Beautiful Idiot is a script I wrote for a group of filmmakers working on a short film featuring professional freeride mountain bike rider Brett Rheeder. Released in August 2018, the film takes you on a ride through the mindset and motivations of anyone who feels driven to pursue greatness, how it can feel to fall short, and the consequences of reaching a lofty goal when the struggle to get there has defined you for so long. Beautiful Idiot was an official selection of the 2018 Banff Mountain Film Festival and is currently part of the festival’s 300+ city, 40+ country, 7-continent world tour throughout 2019.
