CHASING WINTER
documentary scripts
My run of writing extreme sports films accelerated in 2021 with Chasing Winter — a four-part documentary project by Boombox Group and Red Bull Media House. The series follows snowboarding legend Mark McMorris and a small group of his Red Bull -sponsored friends, as they travel around the world, competing to represent their countries at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
Collaborating with the director and editor, I wrote narration for the three short episodes — full of levity and good-natured jokes — followed by the longer film that focuses on the riders’ training at a Red Bull training camp in gorgeous Saas-Fee, Switzerland.
